Dr. Sophi Franck

Veterinarian

Dr. Sophi Franck, a dedicated veterinarian, began her journey at Iowa State University, where she specialized in animal science before earning her veterinary degree in 1999. She launched her career in a private practice in Las Vegas, NV, before returning to her Midwest roots in 2002 to devote her skills to the pets of Iowa. 

Raised on a farm outside Quasqueton, IA, Dr. Franck has a deep connection to animals, both large and small. While she relished the farm life, her career path veered towards companion animals during her final year of veterinary school. 

Today, she embraces all facets of veterinary medicine with a distinct passion for feline internal medicine, acupuncture, and pain management. Dr. Franck’s professional commitment is a testament to her enduring love for animals.

Ashley

Meet Ashley! Currently an undergraduate at Iowa State University, she's majoring in biology with a special interest in veterinary medicine. Ashley's lifelong passion for animals has influenced her aspiration to pursue a veterinary medical degree. Her small family comprises of Trice, an exuberant Australian Shepherd who gladly performs tricks for a treat. Beyond her academic pursuits, Ashley spends her free time volunteering for Dance Marathon, reading, and spending quality time with friends. We think you and your pets will enjoy Ashley’s commitment and enthusiasm!

Cari

Meet Cari, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in Veterinary Medicine. An alumnus of Iowa State University, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Animal Ecology since 2007. Throughout her career, she's embraced diverse roles within the field, from assisting doctors to ensuring excellent client care. The highlight of her work, she'll tell you, is nurturing relationships with both clients and their pets. At home, Cari has a soft spot for rescue animals, and when she's not tending to creatures, you'll find her immersed in her garden or bringing out her crafty side. She eagerly awaits the chance to serve you and your pets at Prairie Lakes Pet Hospital.

Lili

Introducing Lili, a devoted veterinary professional and current student at Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and has amassed over three years of practical experience in the veterinary sector. A proud pet parent, Lili shares her home with Leia, an energetic 7-year-old Lab mix who enjoys swimming, hiking, and the occasional game of fetch. Lili's profound passion for animals radiates in every facet of her life, from her studies to her personal companions. She eagerly anticipates creating meaningful relationships with both her colleagues and the diverse range of pets that will cross her path in her journey at Prairie Lakes Pet Hospital.
